About diving in Alor
Alor is dived from May to October, when the seas settle. The Pantar Strait gives you critter diving one day and steep walls patrolled by bigger fish the next, and you will share it with very few other boats. That remoteness is much of the appeal. Trips run eight to eleven nights, from Kalabahi on Alor or as crossings from Labuan Bajo and Maumere, and some carry on north into the Banda Sea.
