About diving in Triton Bay
Triton Bay sits near Kaimana on the south coast of West Papua, and it is known for dense soft coral and very rich fish life. Whale sharks visit the fishing platforms along the Kaimana coast, and some routes are built around the chance of meeting them. The season runs from October to April. Only a handful of boats come here, on trips of ten or eleven nights, usually from Kaimana or Sorong, sometimes as part of a crossing from the Banda Sea or Raja Ampat.
