About diving in Komodo
Komodo can be dived all year. The north and centre are calmest from April to October, and boats head south mostly from December to March. The diving is lively: drift dives past pinnacles like Castle Rock and Batu Bolong, mantas that often gather at Karang Makassar and Manta Alley, and the Komodo dragons a short walk from the beach. It is also the one region where a short trip makes sense. Most run two to five nights from Labuan Bajo, an easy flight from Bali.
